A Programmers' Competition to Develop Computer Applications in Service of Arabic Language as part of Mecca Cultural Forum Initiatives

 

A competition in applied language software (The first Hackathon of its kind) in Saudi Arabia, as part of the Mecca Cultural Forum initiatives themed: How can we set an example in the language of the Qur'an? A gathering of talented, distinguished students and inventors with specialists in the fields of Arabic language, sciences and literature, along with computational linguists and designers of computer interfaces, software, technology, artificial intelligence, and computer science. The aim is to develop software that contributes to the promotion of linguistic awareness among youngsters, and help improve their Arabic language in the processes of writing, reading and creativity. Namely, the applications that youngsters depend on for knowledge and entertainment; programs that enhance their linguistic identity in modern ways

Competition Objectives

1- Drawing the attention of specialists in Arabic language, sciences and software to the importance of strengthening the connection between Arabic language and modern technologies

  1. Promoting innovation and creativity in the use of Arabic language in computer applications and software codes

3.Utilizing modern technologies in the service of Arabic language performance and enhancing its presence in modern teaching, tests and games

4.Introducing ideas and solutions for Arabic language uses related to computer applications and software codes.
